The photography on my site began with my first digital camera in 2004, a Minolta DiMage7i (5 mega pixels) for 2K AUD. I went through a few Minoltas and then up-graded - for less than 1K AUD - to a Lumix DMC-FZ200. Still a point-and-shoot camera with some extra mega-pixels and a great zoom Leica lens which opened up my chance to capture birds. For macro work I have a lens adaptor with a Panasonic macro lens. I only use the pop-up flash on the camera body for night shots. Most of my photos are taken on Auto everything. In mid 2018 I purchased my first DSLR camera, a Canon EOS 1300D. After initial jitters I eventually was able to use it with a macro lens using the popup flash for night insect work. I also use it with flash disabled for work at the Cairns Aquarium.
