There is nothing subtle about the patterns on the wings of some moths. Simple or complex, bold or tonal in colour, always perfectly symmetrical, the variety astounding, these are truly beautiful creatures.

Living as an artist, photographer and designer in the lush rainforest of Kuranda on the edge of the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics of Queensland in Australia, I discovered the potential of moths as design elements for digital art in 2004.

I was amazed when I had photographed over 200 species of moths around our house lights in the first year. My photographic collection as of early 2012 has now passed 1200. Yes, I’ve been ‘collecting’ further afield, but I still get new discoveries at home where I now run 2 black lights. And I have been doing regular field trips with my friend and colleague, Dr Dave Rentz, for the past three years.

In 2008 I published Mothology : Discover the Magic - Moths and Moth Art from the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics of Queensland Australia.

My moth art has been recognised locally, nationally and internationally.

I try to Update this website on a quarterly basis with Latest News and the addition of species which are new to my collection.

It is a pleasure to share my obsession with you.
